CMR Case Study

SITUATION

CMR, like many companies today, is competing for the best talent in the industry. More than ever, companies are challenged with significant changes in the workforce and employee wants and needs. CMR decided it was time for them to take a different approach to recruitment and tell their story through video.

CMR has an advantage over the competition thanks to its inventive hiring strategy. CMR collaborated with REBL to share their story and attract the best people, CMR and REBL created a recruitment video that reflects the company’s values and teamwork.

SOLUTION

REBL created a strategic storyline to develop a recruitment video highlighting CMR’s competitive advantages. It was essential to film a video that embodied the CMR values and team spirit.

We didn’t want to film just another boring recruitment video. We wanted it to speak to the target audiences for recruitment. – Reb Risty

The video discussed three important things employees want and need: a flexible schedule, opportunities for growth at CMR, and a community culture that encourages work-life balance. In addition, it featured three team members in various positions sharing their motivations for joining CMR, their growth since joining, and their reasons for remaining with the company.

The full-length video was divided into shorter versions to get the most out of its use on social media. These shorter versions were extremely effective in drawing attention to the benefits of working at CMR and highlighting them.

RESULTS

We produced a 2:30min video about three key employee needs and wants. A flexible schedule, an opportunity to grow with a defined path for success, and a culture of community that supports work-life balance.

The video has been well received by applicants and current team members. A great example of how effective recruitment can be is when businesses use creative storytelling strategies to reach their target audiences.

B2B Business: How to write a good tagline

Taglines can become iconic or fall flat and never be seen or heard. They come in all shapes and sizes,  clever like Southwest’s “You are now free to move about the country,” evocative like: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” or fun like Mazda’s “Zoom, zoom, zoom.” However, they all have one thing in common: they work best when they are the last thing said to cap off an enjoyable message for the brand.
